On September 30, 2025, the Mediterranean Tourism Foundation (MTF) together with other partners, proudly kicked off the Sustainable Ecotourism Awareness (SEA) project remotely, after a fruitful meeting to commence what promises to be a transformative Erasmus+ KA220-VET initiative.
The Sustainable Ecotourism Awareness project aims to bridge vocational training and the green transition in tourism by developing innovative training, mentoring, and consulting programs focused on sustainable tourism management and green certification. Powered by cutting-edge AI technology, the e-learning platform will support tourism professionals and SMEs on their sustainability journey, helping to achieve standards like EU Ecolabel and ISO 14001.
MTF is thrilled to collaborate with experienced partners from Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands, Malta, Spain, and beyond:
Consorzio Promos Ricerche (Italy)

Together, we will deliver comprehensive courses, mentorship sessions, and implement an AI-powered platform to empower local businesses in sustainable tourism practices, contributing to economic growth, job creation, and environmental stewardship.
The project is co-funded by the European Union and will run until August 2028. MTF is looking forward to sharing updates, success stories, and opportunities for engagement in the months ahead.
