MHRA Congratulates Labour Party on Election Victory and a Clear Mandate Focused on Economic Sustainability and Wellbeing for All

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association (MHRA) extended its congratulations to the Labour Party following its electoral win and conveyed its best wishes to Prime Minister Robert Abela and his administration as they embark on a new five-year mandate.

MHRA said the result gives the Government a strong mandate to address key national challenges and deliver on its electoral commitments.

The Association praised the high voter turnout as a strong sign of democratic participation and stressed the importance of boosting competitiveness, supporting sustainable growth, and improving quality of life.

MHRA called for continued close cooperation between Government and social partners, saying effective dialogue will be essential to sustaining economic success, meeting future challenges, and implementing the Government’s mandate in the most effective manner.

The Association reaffirmed its support for policies that encourage investment, innovation, skills development, sustainability, and competitiveness, while balancing economic progress with social and environmental responsibility.

MHRA also recognised the role of the Opposition and urged continued dialogue on issues of national importance.

The Association said Malta can strengthen its position as a resilient and competitive destination through collaboration and a clear long-term vision.
