Malta recognises COVID-19 Certificates by Serbia, Gibraltar, and Channel Islands

Malta will as from today recognise the digital Covid-19 vaccine certificates issued by Serbia, Gibraltar, Jersey, and Guernsey.

In a statement, the health and tourism authorities said the certificates will be recognised for vaccines approved by the European Medicines Authority, and issued 14 days after the second dose.

Currently Malta is recognising the digital vaccine certificates of the EU, Switzerland, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America record card.

As from 1 August 2021, the United States CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card will need to be verified through a specific app to be acceptable as a valid vaccination certificate.

Anyone entering Malta without a valid certificate is required to quarantine for 14 days at a designated hotel, or in a private residence if given permission by the health authorities.
