The Malta Minister for Health, after consulations with the Superintendend of Public Health for Malta, has published legal notice number 92 of 2021, stating that all hotel restaurants in Malta are to close and provide only room service to their guests and delivery service in the community.

Hotel restaurants in Malta may accept orders from the community, and organise the delivery of the food to their customers, through their own delivery system or engaging a third party delivery service but No take-away.

Legal Notice 92 of 2021 is related only for hotel restaurants. The Superintendend of Public health advised MHRA that there are no changes with respect to the legal notice issued last Friday 6th March for restaurants, snack bars and kiosks.

These new measures are effective from 11th March up to 11th April 2021 amid a surge in COVID-19 cases in Malta.
