Spas, Pools, Bars and Restaurants in Malta to Remain Closed.

Non-essential retail outlets and services will open from 26th April in Malta – Spas, Pools Bars and Restaurants to Remain Closed.

Yesterday the Maltese Minister responsible for Public Health, after consultation with the Superintendent of Public Health published the legal notice 185 of 2021, ordering the re-opening of non-essential retail outlets and services from Monday 26th April.

Beauty parlours, beauticians, hairdressers, jewellery and fashion outlets, can reopen from Monday and should follow the mitigation protocols issued by the Ministry for Health.

On this same day, the number of people allowed to gather in public places will increase from two to four people and the number of private gatherings has also increased from two different residences to four different residences.

Spas, indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, steam rooms, hydrotherapy pools, and jacuzzi along with bars and restaurants will remain closed. Organised sports activities are still forbidden and non-essential travel to Gozo is still not permitted.
