Gozo focus on new Malta Tourism Authority Agent Training

A new agent training course dedicated to the island of Gozo has been created by the Malta Tourism Authority.

The training modules have been designed by the MTA in collaboration with Gozo Tourism Association.

An accompanying webinar is designed to ensure agents have all the knowledge to sell Gozo with confidence, as well as a booking incentive.

Malta Tourism Authority has teamed up with Mercury Holidays to offer one agent the chance to win a three-night stay at the Kempinski San Lawrenz Hotel, inclusive of return flights and transfers.

Agents have to complete the Gozo course and make a booking by July 18 to be entered into the prize draw.

The training course comprises of seven lessons while Gozo Tourism Association will join Malta Tourism Authority trade trainer Peter Green on June 18 to discuss what Malta’s sister island has to offer visitors in 2021.

He said: “We have developed this training course in conjunction with Gozo Tourism Authority to highlight the product and experiences that are available in Gozo.

“We want to ensure our travel agent partners have all the information and product knowledge to ensure they have all the tools to sell Gozo to their clients in 2021 and beyond.

“The island of Gozo is the perfect remedy for post-lockdown travel and is brimming with beautiful bays, hidden villages, historic sites and outdoor activities for travellers to enjoy as part of a standalone itinerary or combined with other islands in the archipelago.”
