Cyprus Places Greece on ‘Orange’ Travel List

Greece has been placed on the orange list of Cyprus’ colour-coded country categorization travel system, which determines the restrictions that apply to travelers entering Cyprus.

According to an announcement by the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus, from June 24, travelers who visit Cyprus from orange category countries are required to have taken a PCR laboratory test within 72 hours prior to departure and must have a certificate showing their negative result.

Travelers should attach their negative test result to their CyprusFlightPass (submission within 48 hours before the departure time for Cyprus).

As of June 24, a second molecular examination will not be required on arrival in Cyprus for individuals coming from orange-listed countries.

It is reminded that regardless of a country’s color category, all passengers are obliged to file an application for a CyprusFlightPass within 48 hours prior to their departure flight.

Information for vaccinated travelers

According to the Ministry of Health of Cyprus, passengers holding a valid certificate of vaccination against Covid-19 arriving in Cyprus from abroad, regardless of their nationality and country of departure, shall be exempt from the obligation of laboratory testing and self-isolation/quarantine.

Fully vaccinated persons can travel to Cyprus on the same day from the date of their second dose, attaching their certificate of vaccination to their CyprusFlightPass. People that have been vaccinated with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (single dose) can travel to Cyprus only if 14 days have elapsed between the administration of the vaccine and the date of travel.

Cyprus’ categorization of countries, based on the epidemiological risk assessment is extremely dynamic and may be modified at any moment as the pandemic evolves and the epidemiological data changes.
