Why Mallorca’s so magical

Mallorca

We know what you’re thinking. Sapphire seas, luxurious resorts, peace and quiet, good wine. True, all these are what make Mallorca one of the most sought after destinations in the Mediterranean.

However, we believe that your perfect getaway to the Spanish island should go beyond its beaches, resorts, and house wines.

The largest of the Balearic Islands, chic Mallorca will also offer you the best country walks, historic sites full of nooks waiting for you to get lost in, and beautiful villages where you can sit back, relax, and live like the locals!

The island’s capital boasts one of Europe’s most beautiful Gothic buildings, the Santa Maria Cathedral, right next door to the Royal Palace of La Almudaina. These two alone will already take hours out of your day, but we promise they are both worth the time! Once you are done strolling through history, you can basque in the laid-back vibe Palma offers, and even grab some fresh Tapas while you’re at it.

Cuevas del Drach

These four caves run for almost four kilometers out of Porto Costo. The Black Cave, the White Cave, the Cave of Luis Salvador and the Cave of the French are all connected, and each boast their own unique characteristic, such as ‘The Flag’, or ‘The Baths of Diana’. Take a boat ride through these magical caves and end your visit with a short live concert……on the boat.

Barranc de Biniaraix

One of the best places for a hike in Mallorca. This five-hour hike will take you from the valley on Sóller into the Biniaraitx gorge itself where you can get a glimpse of the olive and lemon trees that surround it. Should you choose to venture further into the gorge, lakes, waterfalls, and mountain views also await.

Cap de Formentor

The famous drive to the tip of Mallorca will give you some of the best views you will ever look upon. You will also capture the perfect #potd beside the lighthouse at the very peak as you listen to the crashing waves of the ocean by the foot of the cliffs. The idyllic Port d’Alcúdia drive away should you wish to sit back and relax after the drive up.

You certainly cannot visit Mallorca without taking a hot air balloon ride over the island. Most companies offer transport from different places in Mallorca to their respective take-off point. Those two hours will definitely be on your ‘happiest moments’ list.
