Curfew, Music Ban Imposed on Three Areas in Greece

Greek authorities have announced emergency restrictions for the regional units of Achaia and Ilia in the Peloponnese, as well for the Ikaria Municipality, in efforts to limit the spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Restrictions include:

– A five-hour overnight curfew from 1am to 6am (movement is allowed only for work and health reasons).
– A 24-hour music ban (at all beach bars, cafes, restaurants, bars, entertainment parks) with the exception of wedding and baptism ceremonies.

The measures are in effect until 6am on September 10.

Greek authorities also announced the extension of existing Covid-19 restrictions for the regional units of Messinia in the Peloponnese and Heraklio (Crete) until September 10.
